水海龍AKAGE滅火劑均勻噴灑在熱失控鋰電池上，能立即在高溫的鋰電池
表面形成較厚的AKAGE薄膜，它能隔絕空氣、冷卻鋰電池表面、持續消耗
大量的熱，得到很好的阻火和滅火的效果，可有效撲滅鋰電池、森林、
草原、A類火災。
 水海龍AKAGE燃燒後產生的二氧化碳和水蒸氣不助燃，無毒性。
使用水海龍AKAGE滅火，高效、環保、節水，經濟在滅火功能上；
「一台裝有水海龍AKAGE滅火劑的消防車，
  相當於10台裝有自來水的消防車」，
滅火戰術原則方法與用水滅火基本相同，當用水海龍AKAGE
 撲滅A類火災時，其滅火效果為水的6倍以上，
撲滅森林、草原火災時，其滅火效果為水的10倍以上。
最重要的是「水海龍AKAGE滅火器」AE-A112004這滅火藥劑是以
「純水」製造「不導電」，實符合鋰電池滅火器之「不導電」基本要求。
將現行已獲得消防署型式認可的「水海龍機械泡沫滅火劑AE-A112004」
添加AKAGE，使這滅火劑能鎖住大量水分，讓滅火效果增加6倍，
同時還可迅速使燃燒電池降溫，即可在電池表面形成膠狀覆蓋層，隔絕空氣，
抑制有毒害的氣體擴散，達到控制熱失控蔓延和快速有效滅火的目的。
使用羧甲基纖維素(carboxymethyl cellulose)與氯化鋁(AlCl3)
以純水混合，配製成水和AKAGE混合物滅火劑。
 AKAGE分子的親水性極強，使其表現出保水性強和附著力高的特點，
在低溫時有較好的流動性，高溫時又表現出足夠的黏性，
在方便使用的同時，能將噴射區域的電池熱失控全面降溫。
鋰電池火災，在噴射水海龍AKAGE滅火劑後，噴射到的部位電池溫度
迅速降低至200℃以下；水海龍AKAGE滅火劑對射流火焰亦有一定限制作用，
且可以阻隔多組鋰電池間熱量傳遞；在使用水海龍AKAGE滅火器後，
鋰電池未發生復燃，說明水海龍AKAGE對鋰電池火災具有較好的滅火效果。
使用後殘留的水海龍AKAGE，對環境無汙染，可自然分解成水和二氧化碳。
